Soon leads Chaminade Cross Country with 18th place finish

Belmont,CA- Deanne Soon led the way for the Silverswords in the 2007 Cross Country Championships. Soon finished the 6k event with a time of 21:11 Joelle Tanaka was the Silverswords next best finisher with a time of 21:35, good for 19th overall. Amanda Whitford of Hawaii Pacific University won the event running the 6k in 18:54. As a team, UH Hilo won with an average time of 19:58.

On the men's side, CUH was led by Tyler Pickle, who ran a time of 29:39 in the 8k, good for 21st place. The Silverswords next finisher was Toby Castro would placed 23rd, with a time of 30:59. Individually, Kenneth Harper of BYU-Hawaii won the event in 26:23. As a team, Hawaii Pacific won the men's event, just edging out Norte Dame De Namur by two points as the Sea Warriors managed to go lower, scoring 45 points to the Agronauts 47 points.
