Fullerton College: Enjoyed a standout career for the Hornets of Fullerton College. As a sophomore, Johnson was a first team All-Conference Selection, averaging 19.3 points, along with 8.9 rebounds per contest. Had a high of 39 points against Chaffey College, followed by 38 against Santa Ana and 34 points against Orange Coast. Enjoyed a fantastic freshman year at Fullerton, starting for the 37-0 State Champions. The Hornets defeated West Valley in the State Final. (The Swords boast four current players from those two teams) Rodrick averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds per contest that year, his best game coming against Chaffey College, where he had 23 points and 10 rebounds.

High School: Was a consensus National Top 150 player out of high school. Starred for the Canyon Springs Cougars, averaging over 20 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks per contest under Coach Stovall. Was named First Team All-Conference.

Personal: Rodrick was born on May 15th, 1981 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The son of Cynthia and Joe Joe Johnson, Rodrick has two brothers, Jermaine and Quincy. Jermaine stars for the College of Charleston basketball team.
