2006-07: Averaged 12.1 points to go along with 5.3 rebounds on the year to earn honorable mention All-Pac West honors. Fell three made field goals below ranking amongst the nation's best in FG percentage (55%). Led the team in scoring four times and in rebounding three times. Had 21 points and 7 rebounds against DePaul and 23 points and 7 rebounds against Oklahoma in the 2006 EA Sports Maui Invitational. 2005-2006: Started 23 of 28 games in his first year playing for the Silverswords. Helped Chaminade to 19 wins on the year. Stewart averaged 7.7 points to go along with 3.8 rebounds for CUH. Shot an impressive 61% from the field and fell just short of the amount of attempts that would have qualified him for top 15 in the country in FG percentage.
Allan Hancock College: Played one year for the Santa Maria, CA school. Kussler averaged 13 pts., 9 rebs. and 4 assists for the Bulldogs. He was named to the Western State Conference Academic 1st team and as a player, was named a Western State Conference Honorable Mention selection. High School: Was elected team captain on a 29-4 St. Joseph's team his senior year. Kussler was selected as both the Division 4AA Player of the Year, as well as First Team All-State under Coach Torres in 2003-04. He was also selected First Team Santa Maria Times All Area in 2002-03 and Santa Maria Times MVP in 2003-04. Personal: Stewart was born in Brawley, CA on May 27, 1986. He is the son of Leslie and Larry Kussler and has a brother, Philip and a sister, Anne.
