QUEEN CREEK, AZ - Marko Kolaric from Chaminade has been selected to the 2008 Daktronics Division II Men's Basketball West Region First Team.

He is also one of six players chosen to the Daktronics D-II Men's Basketball West Region First Team who will now go on the national ballot for All-American honors.

In addition to Kolaric, Lucas Alves of BYU-Hawaii, Devin Peal from Humboldt State and Larry Gordon of Cal Poly Pomona also made First Team. Alaska Anchorage, the host of the NCAA II West Region Championship this weekend, landed two players in Carl Arts and Luke Cooper on the top squad.

The Second Team featured Jake Beitinger of Central Washington, Rob Will of Seattle Pacific. The Cal State system schools earned four Second Team players in Michael Earl (Cal State San Bernardino), Vincent Camper (Cal State Los Angeles), Joe Mitchell (Cal State Monterey Bay) and Lance Ortiz (Cal State Santa Barbara).
