CUH MBB: Kolaric Invited to Collegiate Basketball Invitational

April 16, 2008

Wadsworth, OH- Add another impressive accolade for senior center Marko Kolaric. The 7'0 Serbia native has been selected to play in the Collegiate Basketball Invitational (CBI) on April 24-26th in Wadsworth, Ohio. The CBI selects 65 players from approximately 1,000 colleges and universities in NCAA Div II, III and all NAIA levels.

The CBI All-Star Game will be on April 26th at 8PM. The game will be televised on ESPNU.

Kolaric has just finished a standout four-year career, last month being named a First Team All Pac West selection for the second year in a row. The senior was also named an NABC First Team All-West Region selection as well.

Kolaric led Chaminade in rebounding, averaging 10.0 rebounds per contest, along with 12.6 points and 1.7 blocks a night. The center finishes his career as the fourth leading rebounder in school history (768) and fifth in rebounding average, 7.18 per contest for his career.

Chaminade concluded the season at 21-8, winning the Pac West Championship and breaking the school record for the most victories in school history (NCAA) by two games.

For the second time in three years, the Swords have achieved a remarkable feat. In both 2005-06 and 2007-08 Chaminade has managed to win the Pac West conference, as well as break the school record for wins (NCAA).
