Silverswords Sweep Sea Warriors in Three Games

Honolulu, HI- Chaminade continues rolling with a sweep of the Sea Warriors tonight at McCabe Gym. The Silverswords dominated from the start winning game one 31-29, game two 30-18 and the third and final game, 30-24.

Tonight's victory was not only the 6th straight win, but it was the last time the fans would see the likes of three stand out players for the blue and white, as tonight was senior night for Chaminade. The Silverswords lose #9 Krista Catian, #11 Evelyn Bluthenthal and #15 Lila Sapolu to graduation.

CUH was led by Samantha Miller with 12 kills and 14 digs and Trina Kauliakamoa (11 kills, 14 digs. Chaminade narrowly won the assist battle, 41-40.

Tanya Alvino added 37 of those assists in the win.

Cari Kahn led the way for HPU with 9 kills and 13 digs.

With the win, the Silverswords move to 15-6, 7-6 in the Pac West. HPU falls to 10-15, 4-9 in conference play. The Silverswords conclude their season against BYU-Hawaii at 7:30PM at the Cannon Center on Saturday.
